Snowball Races


Grade level: K-4
Equipment: cones, exercise balls, optional Christmas music
Game Description: Another Christmas physical education game idea. It’s simple, yet really fun! Players will be in relay teams. Each group will get a large exercise ball, which represents their snowball. And they’re going to run! And they’re going to race! They must keep control of the ball. Play your favourite upbeat Christmas music for extra excitement. Also great as a warm-up.

Christmas Cookies


Grade level: K-5
Equipment: none
Game Description: Here’s a Physedgames original game to enjoy during the Christmas season, it’s a fun and easy holiday PE game that will get players laughing, moving, and sweating! It’s easy too. All you will need is a playing area. Most of the players will be your favourite types of Christmas Cookies. Castleball 2.0


Grade level: 3-8
Equipment: balls, hula hoops, cones
Game Description: Another winning idea from Deric Hafer. As a variation to the original Castleball game (one of the best games there is) the modifications in this game make for another super fun, skill-building, and action-packed game. Set-up the castles, choose the roles, launch the cannon balls, and build together. There’s something for everyone!

Cooperative Wall Ball


Grade level: 1-8
Equipment: ball, exercise ball
Game Description: Here’s a fun teamwork game. It’s very easy to play, and it’s great to use to for a fun cooperative experience. There are actually 3 ways to play, each with a varying level of difficulty. Start by asking your players to explain what cooperation means. And they will soon realize that if they work together, they will accomplish the task quickly and effectively!

Circle Racing


Grade level: 1-6
Equipment: Bean-bags, cones
Game Description: A fun little moving and reacting game. Small groups can spread out along the playing area and players will try to be the first to grab the right beanbags to win points! (Thanks to Jiang Xiaolei)

Hula Hoop Twister


Grade level: K-4
Equipment: Hula hoops, music
Game Description: It’s a combo of musical chairs and the Twister board game which for sure means it’s fun and active, definitely worth giving it a play or 10 in your PE class 😀 (thanks Deric Hafer)

Ambush


Grade level: 2-6
Equipment: Hula hoops
Game Description: Game straight outta China. Time for an ambush! Use hula hoops, or could use other equipment depending on the desired skill (Thanks Jiang Xiaolei)
