Would You Rather CHRISTMAS Brain Break

Grade level: 1-8
Equipment: Projector
Game Description: My family and I been having lots of fun making these brain break workouts and playing them at school with students and decided to make a Christmas traditions version. Appropriate for almost all elementary grade levels, a 7-minute warm-up or mini-workout where you choose which Christmas tradition you like the most, and do the matching exercise 🙂

Home Alone 2

Grade level: 2-8
Equipment: Cones, hula hoops
Game Description: Saw online that someone changed up Joe Defreitas’ original Home Alone game and added a teamwork strategy version. So I optimized the idea with my own students it, and here it is. It might be best played after playing a round of Home Alone the original, but definitely doesn’t have to be! Also a great Christmas holiday PE game!

Would You Rather SPORTS Brain Break

Grade level: 1-6
Equipment: Projector
Game Description: Another Physedgames family version of the Would You Rather brain break workouts. This is our take on the projector workouts that can be used as a warm-up or pair it up with another one or another fitness activity or game. Could be played in the gym, or in the classroom when the gym is not available, as long as you have a projector. This is the SPORTS edition!

Would You Rather FOOD Brain Break

Grade level: 1-6
Equipment: Projector
Game Description: A different type of game from what I usually post, that’s super fun and active (what I always aim for). This one is a Physedgames family version of the Would You Rather brain break workouts. This is our take on the projector workouts that can be used as a warm-up or pair it up with another one or another fitness activity or game. Could be played in the gym, or in the classroom when the gym is not available, as long as you have a projector. This one includes the popular food theme, with an appropriate difficulty level that’s not too easy and not too hard and gets the heart pumping. My kids and I are having lots of fun putting together the exercises and different themes that’ll be added later too. My wife is… not as impressed HAH. Trying my best to talk her into joining in.

Backyard Dog Tag

Grade level: K-4
Equipment: Cones, 4 foam balls
Game Description: Some students are dogs (they can act like a dog if they want). The dogs are trying to chase people away from their yard. Another fun tag game idea to try in your PE class (thanks to Deric Hafer).

RPS Warm-up

Grade level: 1-8
Equipment: 4 cones
Game Description: Such a simple warm-up idea that students really enjoy. Once players know how to play it, it’s an instant activity to use to get your PE class started. Also doesn’t require any equipment really, except for 4 cones. It could be played anywhere, and is another great large group game! Guaranteed fun and movement.
